Casa del Visitante is a carefully designed space, rescuing materials from the region and creating a warm environment to enjoy the landscape of the vineyards and the mountain.

Come and enjoy our winery, get to know the vineyards and live the Santa Julia experience.

This is a unique proposal to visit our winery and vineyards in Maipú Estate.

You will learn about our history and enjoy a unique winemaking experience with a tasting of wines from our different lines.

Picnic in
the gardens

A proposal to have lunch in  Casa del Visitante gardens and enjoy a picnic with several options to share with our natural wines.

We started with homemade bread with local cheese tasting, accompanied with apple and quince chutney, homemade bacon served with spiced honey and crunchy nuts and a rabbit terrine with old mustard and homemade pickles.

To finish, homemade vegetable and goat stew served with a mushroom and spinach calzone.

For dessert, homemade berlinsa with dulce de leche sauce and green lemon tart with whipped cream.

Regional Menu

Welcoming: beet chutney accompanied by a bread basket with focaccia, rye bread and sourdough bread baked in the oven.

Starter: La Chacha empanadas, meat empanadas with olives and egg, another one with fontina cheese, mozzarella and blue cheese and the last one with pumpkin, ricotta cheese and onion. All accompanied by a homemade tomato sauce.

And the fireworks display begins. ….

First course: pork matambre, homemade chorizo and goat accompanied by mushroom salad baked in a clay oven with provenzal and a mix of greens with a burnt orange vinaigrette and crispy onion.

Second course: steak eye served with pie potatoes and egg mollet; and grilled green onions with homemade seed hummus.

Dessert: our trolley of local cheeses and homemade sweets accompanied with a warm prune cake with Arauco olive oil ice cream and homemade flan.

Finally, cafeteria service with petit fours and, as a sweet option, a homemade cake …. if the customer wishes!

Come to harvest

Come to harvest

As every year during the grape harvest season, on Wednesdays and Fridays in February and March, visitors to Casa del Visitante can choose to take part in the “Come and harvest” program and pick grapes with their own hands. and thus harvest the grapes with their own hands. The task is carried out with the help of guides, who explain to the participants the importance of the grape harvest and the use of the tools provided by the winery.
Come to cook

This is an exclusive cooking class with the chefs of Casa del Visitante, where they teach how to use regional products to prepare typical meals. The program includes breakfast, cooking class, gift apron, visit to Santa Julia winery, and wine tasting. Our visitors can choose between two menu proposals: with La Chacha’s empanadas at the foot of the clay oven or a complete lunch with the Fires and Garden Menu.
Malamado Bartender

Malamado Bartender

I lived a unique cocktail experience, hand in hand with Malamado, the first fortified wine in the country. It is an exclusive cocktail class, where participants are taught to make cocktails with Malamado; then they must create their own drink. The activity is accompanied by a tasting of Malamado wines and a visit to the winery.
Bike & tasting

During the tour and at strategic stops we will pause to taste the wines of Bodega Santa Julia. The activity ends at Casa del Visitante with empanadas from La Chacha at the foot of the clay oven or with the proposal of a complete lunch with the Menu de Fuegos y Huerta.
