Santa Julia’s natural wines are those that have the least human intervention possible from the vineyard to their production. No sulfites are added and natural yeasts are used. The wine is bottled unfiltered.
Who is the donkey?
The Donkey was an animal my brother Miguel used to play with when we were kids. The winemakers had already prepared a natural wine to launch to the market. And it all happened very organically. Emiliano Pierro, the artist, exhibited in our art cellar and one of his paintings was a donkey. The family fell in love with Emiliano’s style and we decided that the wine had to tell that story.
